When Americans think of luxury cars from their own, proud automaking heritage, Cadillac is the first brand that springs to mind. A marque of General Motors, it sits right at the top of their automotive brand portfolio, and dates back to 1902, and was named after Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac, the Founder of Detroit. In fact, the Cadillac badge is based on his family coat of arms. Of course, that means that Cadillac has been at the forefront of innovation, but they don’t rush into things. Their first electric vehicle was introduced for the 2023 model year, and is called the Lyriq. A midsize luxury crossover, the Lyriq is sold in many territories outside the USA as well. In fact, it won Germany’s “Car Of The Year 2025” award, which is indeed high praise.

Exterior and Interior
This 2025 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury 1 comes in a shade called Emerald Lake Metallic, which shows off deep green hues from certain angles, blending into a dark monochrome shade when the lighting and angle of view changes. It’s a stunning shade, and really does justice to this futuristic EV’s design. Furthermore, with its coupe-inspired rear quarters and 20-inch shiny silver alloy wheels, this is truly a vehicle that turns heads. You’ll also notice that the wheels wear tires with a bit of sidewall, once again showcasing that Cadillac is concerned with passenger comfort over outright looks – rubber band low profile tires do look great but don’t benefit ride comfort, after all. The interior of this 2025 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury 1 includes white leather-upholstered seating for five adults and contrasting black accents. It’s a very well-designed space, and looks deceptively simplistic. Yet, it’s packed with tech, including a full infotainment suite, digital gauge cluster, dual-zone automatic climate control with air conditioning, rear passenger air vents, plenty of charging ports, and a pleasing 19-speaker AKG Studio sound system. You’ve also got a host of safety and driving assistance features including automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control. A panoramic glass roof lies above your heads. Meanwhile, the trunk has enough space for family duties, and the rear seats can be folded for carrying even more when required.

Engine
There’s no internal combustion engine propelling this 2025 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury 1 since it’s an EV. Instead, you’ll find a 102 kilowatt hour battery pack.
